Government-Sponsored Recreation in Hong Kong

Government-sponsored recreations are mostly managed by Leisure and Cultural Service Department (LCSD) in Hong Kong. The public can book recreations through online system, leisure link self-service kiosks, telephone or book the facility personally at booking counter of different leisure venues. They can enjoy those facilities by paying a relatively low fee.  There are many categories under government-sponsored recreations such as aquatics facilities, holiday camp, land sport facilities, libraries, museums, performance venues, parks, zoos, gardens, etc. Apart from common recreations we always use, the LCSD actually also provides some special recreational facilities.

There are even covered pit area for maintenance of model car before, during or after the race. There is a fee-charging car park with 42 parking spaces nearby. Here is the news introducing the Model Car Play Area and public comments on the facility:

Evaluation:

Through doing this research, I realize that the variety of government-sponsored recreation is much higher than what I have known. There are many special and fun facilities provided by LCSD besides from those we always mentioned and enjoy our leisure time. It would be great if public can try out different sports and play in different recreational facilities in Hong Kong.
